Ancillary Task - Double Page Spread Final

Double Page Spread Analysis: This is our double page spread for the documentary Stadiums: Head 2 Head, we decided to stick with the same background as we have on the poster as the images present both stadiums, allowing a comparison to be made between them. The reason behind the title being supported by the black background is to allow the title to stand out, so it can be the first thing readers see. The choice of colours in the title links to the teams in which Chelsea play in blue and Fulham play in white with red being the neutral colour, which is why most of the text is in red. The layout was a difficult decision but looking back at my research I realised that this is a stylish and modern layout which attracts readers. The logo and the information about screening is in the top right because we dont want it to be the prominent feature but we do want it to be seen and the quotes we decided to place in those positions because we want readers to see them to identify what national newspapers have said about it, hopefully enticing them to read the double page spread.

Ancillary Task - Listings Magazine Final

This is my final design for my listing's magazine poster, I am extremely happy with this attempt as all the problems from my previous attempted have been corrected and I now have an attractive detailed poster with the right information. I have changed the font style of the documentary title to make it more modern and stylish. The pictures fit perfectly well with the text and the logo is placed in the correct position. Although there might have been a slight problem seeing the smaller font information at the bottom of the poster I ensured that to see it clearly a white box in the background enabled the text to easily be seen. After trying a variety of colours I came to a decision that a darker red was the best colour for the information.

Ancillary Task - Listings Magazine Draft #2

This was my second attempt at the ancillary task poster, although there have been improvements there are still some issues with this draft. Firstly the font style of the documentary title does not stand out enough and wont attract an audience when they see it. Secondly the colour choice of the information at the bottom of the page is not clear enough and overlaps into the darker parts of the stadium making it difficult to see. However improvements from the first one is that I added to the simplicity of the poster and placing each text in the right position. Overall I am happy with the positioning of the text but font styles and colours remain a problem I must sort in my final poster. 

Ancillary Task - Listings Magazine Draft #1

This was my first attempt at producing a poster for my documentary: Stadiums: Head 2 Head. I was pleased with the two photos in the background which give a clear indicator to which team the stadiums belong to and the estbalishing shots show the whole setting. The "Stadiums" part of the title however seems too faint and does not stand out. Furthermore the use of the orange for the information is also an issue as again it is too faint and some people may have a problem viewing it. Overall I am pleased with the simplicity of the first draft as it has given me the chance to improve it over the next two attempts.

Ancillary Task Images

As a side piece of work to our documentary we had to produce two ancillary tasks that would advertise our documentary to people so they can become aware and understand what our documentary is going to be about, we had to create a Double Page Spread and a TV Listing's Poster. Below are the two images that we used for these tasks, we chose them because they both explain what the documentary is about, they both capture the whole scene and they immediately tell the audience which two stadiums we are going to talk about in our documentary.
